After a busy time at work, I had a fantastic two week break, back home in the UK. I feel extremely lucky to have spent my well earned rest in two fabulous locations.
The first week was spent in the South West corner of Ireland, in an area close to Bantry Bay. The second week was spent, back home visiting my family in the glorious Peak District National Park and of course exploring the surrounding areas.
It was so good to spend most of that quality time out in the open, walking the landscape and simply exploring and doing the many things I love to do. It was also good to have an wealth of fresh air, freedom, see loved ones and then share many special times together. At times like this it makes you appreciate home and obviously makes going home very worthwhile.
My family is really cool, the best there is and where possible, whenever possible, it is great to just spend time with them. It's even more important now, as I don't live as close. Then again, it is only a 50 minute flight from Amsterdam to Manchester or around 3 days by bike. : )
Now, for me it's back to reality, as work starts once again, but I'm looking forward to yet more great times in the next few months. As we have lots of exciting things planned. So, in my world, there are certainly good times ahead...
Most of the images posted here are from the #PeakDistrict ...my playground, from now and when I was young. Visit Peak District I love this play as it brings back so many great memories and it's a place I would always call home.
I would also like to extend a big thank you to the lovely people at Haglöfs for providing me with wonderful outdoor gear that allows me to explore this great place in comfort and of course enable me to be in my element while doing so.
Thanks for reading this short post. I really appreciate it.
