Lead Out - Mini Frame Bag

A great bag fitted with straps and adjustable elastic cords to fit perfectly onto the bike and frame.

Thanks to the kind folk of Lead Out, I have recently been gifted a variety of different items from their growing cycling gear range. The company make various additional items from bags to bike tools that will no doubt improve our regular cycles to work and beyond.

For the last weeks, I have been using the impressive handlebar bag, and this bag has been convenient to have at my disposal for regular rides and weekend excursions. Adding the mini frame bag to my collection has been a great plus as it adds extra storage, enabling me to add items into it rather than my rucksack.

Both of these items have been super functional on my daily commuter rides to work and back, together with those longer adventures that happen when time allows. So with those thoughts in mind, I was curious to see how the mini-frame bag would perform, and I was intrigued to see how this would help me each day on the bike.

Mini Frame Bag

Like all Lead Out products in the range, the frame bag is made to an excellent standard, with solid stitching, easy to use zips and an inner lining that would keep my items comfortable and dry.

It is light, and it looks good on and off the bike. Whether you are heading out for an extended weekend adventure, touring by cycle or commuting daily to work, the Mini Bike Frame Bag is ready and equipped for any adventure experience.

It is easy to attach to your road bike, commuter bike, gravel adventure bike, aero bike, or casual day bike. Lead Out's universal fit is the perfect size to carry more items on your ride without having to ride bow-legged with a full-frame bike bag or a massive bag on your back.

Perfect match! I think the Frame Bag looks good alongside the handlebar bag.

The bicycle frame bag's compact and streamlined size also allows you to access regular-sized water bottles easily in cages below, as well as fit snuggly between the frame tubes.

You can conveniently store all of your smaller/slimmer items in the lay-flat 2D non-drive-side pocket like a phone or wallet. Then use the frame bags 1.3 litres 3D drive-side compartment to stash outer clothing layers, a rain jacket, extra food, and tools, all of which is neatly and aerodynamically tucked in your front triangle.

The mini frame bag is secured into place with a series of bungee cords and soft but strong velcro straps that keep your frame safe from any scratches or blemishes. An additional semi-structural foam liner then keeps the bag's robust shape and ensures the bag contents won't rattle and clatter against your frame as you ride along.

The water-resistant fabric and zippers help keep your items safe in transitional inclement weather. A retroreflective stripe positioned on the bag enables you to be seen in low-light and daytime conditions, providing additional safety measures when you are out on your ride.

Like all of the items in the Lead Out range, I must say that I have been super impressed with the general functionality and the overall compact size.

As a result, this product does not disappoint, as it measures a convenient size of 9inch x 13inch x 7inch [2inch wide]. Making it the ideal size to snuggly fit onto your frame.

Conclusion

In conclusion, I would recommend this bag to anyone who rides regularly. It does exactly what it says it should do and has the potential to do a whole lot more. The material is good and the design too, allowing it to fit onto your bike frame effortlessly and then perform in a way will be a great addition to you and your bike.

I think the frame bag looks excellent on the bike. It comes in a variety of different colours, so it will be more than suitable for any frame or colour bike.

The bag withstands rain water from the commute to work, and the embossed Lead Out branding is perfectly on show.
