Indik8a - The Safe Indicators For Cyclists

Outdoors for Cyclists

There is no doubt that cycling every day to work brings a huge amount of joy to my life and to many others out there.

Cycling not only brings you many wonderful benefits to support our overall health and well-being. It also helps the environment and in some cases even the bank balance too!

Inevitably, with all the positives it can bring there are still one or two areas that can still prove problematic. One of those areas is safety and how to stay safe on the bike.

Of course, we all need to adhere to the rules of the road but we all must also feel safe when riding our bikes.

Being a daily cycle commuter, I was delighted when Indik8a got in touch and sent out one of their fabulous and innovative cycling products.

One that I am sure I will enjoy using and one that will inevitably improve cycle safety not only for myself but also for many other cycle enthusiasts doing the same thing.

SAVING CYCLISTS' LIVES

Is the mission adopted by Indik8a in their pursuit of creating a great product that will benefit all types of cyclists, from competitive cyclists, daily commuters, to recreational cyclists.

Their new product is designed to innovate the way we indicate, with Indik8a here to help cyclists' of all ages – and all abilities – to signal with certainty and purpose. Because everyone deserves to feel safe on the road.

I think it is the perfect motto for a groundbreaking product that surely will improve overall safety and benefit cyclists around the world. After using the product on a daily basis back and forth from work I feel well placed to give a fair and balanced review of these incredible hand indicators.

What did I think?

I thought the product was fantastic. It is well made, well designed, robust and pretty unique.

Both indicators come in a protective case, which is lightweight and padded. This case is fairly small and can easily pack into any bag and it doesn’t take up any excess space.

Inside the case are the two indicators, one for the left hand and one for the right hand. They are small in size and fit comfortably onto the back of the hand.

The indicator unit can be attached and detached from the fitted strap easily and it has a conveniently placed USB recharging point positioned at the back.

Surrounding the unit is a quick fit strap that easily fits over the hand or glove. This can be adjusted to fit the size of any hand and then securely fastened with velcro Towards the end of the strap is a loop where the index finger goes through and on this strap is a button that once pressed activates the signal which allows the lights to flash

When out cycling this is simple to activate and allows you to conveniently indicate to other road users whether you are turning left or right.

Would I recommend them?

I most certainly would recommend these innovative cycle accessories and now that I have used them I will continue to regularly use them out on the bike.

It is a great cycling product and if it is an accessory that helps to make cyclists more visible and safer on the roads, then I am all for them being a great success in the months and years ahead.

The unit is well made and once placed on your hand you hardly know that it is there. It is streamlined and innovative in its design. It serves a purpose and it is affordable too!

You can find out more about the Indik8a product and purchase one via their website. Priced at just £35 I think it is well worth the money.
